Long Story Short: Women’s Stories Matter

In partnership with the Century Club of Rochester, the National Women’s Hall of Fame presents Long Story Short: Women’s Stories Matter, an evening with 2015 Inductee and Board President Jean Kilbourne.

Join us for an inspiring evening of networking and dialogue about the experiences that shape us as women and the boundaries we continue to push and challenge. Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres will be served.

Speakers:

Jean Kilbourne (she/her), 2015 Inductee

Internationally recognized for her groundbreaking work on media literacy and exploring the connections between advertising and its impact on eating disorders and violence against women, Jean’s reporting has transformed the way organizations around the world address public health problems, including smoking, high-risk drinking, obesity, and the sexualization of children.

Jennifer Gabriel (she/her), Executive Director

With more than 25 years of nonprofit leadership and fundraising experience, Jennifer is leading the National Women’s Hall of Fame in the expansion of its mission regionally and nationally. In addition to launching new programming that reaches people from coast to coast, the Hall is undergoing significant rehabilitation efforts at its museum, ensuring women’s stories forever have a home in Seneca Falls, NY.

The Century Club of Rochester is the longest-running private women’s social club in Rochester, New York with a mission to cultivate a membership of women eager to participate in charitable giving, community development, social networking and relationship building that benefits our community.

The National Women’s Hall of Fame was founded to celebrate women’s voices, inspire current and future generations of changemakers, and to promote gender equity.
