Week of Women

HAPPY WOMEN’S HISTORY MONTH!

This Women’s History Month the Hall decided to experiment with a new program called Week of Women. The catch? Our Week of Women takes place during the first week of April!

Through virtual and in-person events and curated social media content, we will be hosting thought-provoking conversations that celebrate women of the past, present, and future. By hosting the program in April, we hope that we can reinforce that celebrating Women’s History is – and should be – a year-round activity.

March is a busy month at the National Women’s Hall of Fame. We see an increase in foot traffic, interaction on social media, and media requests; because the rest of the nation is taking time to do something we do every day: celebrate great women. Heritage and history months, like Women’s History Month, are important because they create structure to uplift historically marginalized communities that have otherwise been overlooked. However, the topics that are discussed during these months – equity, human rights, and celebrating the often overlooked – are conversations that are continual, and don’t stop when the month of March ends.

Join us from April 4-9th and discover just how easy it is to learn about and celebrate women year-round!

We’ll be announcing the Week of Women events throughout the month of March, and the most updated calendar of events can be found here, on our website. Register below to receive the most up to date calendar of events in your inbox.

Follow along on social media @womenofthehall, where we post daily about inspiring women of the past, present, and future!
