Seneca Falls, NY – The National Women’s Hall of Fame has received new philanthropic support from Forward Global’s Women’s Power & Influence Matching Grant initiative to advance gender equality in the United States.

Despite representing more than half the population, women’s and girls’ organizations receive less than 2 percent of charitable giving in the U.S. This grant signals a growing commitment to reversing that disparity.

The National Women’s Hall of Fame was awarded a total of $175,000 to continue its mission of elevating women’s voices through storytelling, exhibits, and educational initiatives that engage every generation. Match funding for The National Women’s Hall of Fame was unlocked as a result of the generous support of the Forward Global community.

“This investment strengthens our ability to reach and empower future leaders across the country,” said Beckie Robertson, Member of the Board of Directors of the Hall. “By sharing the stories and preserving the legacies of groundbreaking women in American history, we hope to help inspire and cultivate the next generation of civic and cultural leadership.”

The grant comes at a time of meaningful growth and momentum for the Hall. This year, the organization brought the 2025 Right to Run 5K to its front doors in Seneca Falls, welcomed new Board members Katie Martell and Simi Shah, and featured thought leadership from existing Board members Jean Kilbourne and Dr. Sujatha Ramanujan—efforts that reflect the Hall’s ongoing commitment to cross-generational engagement, inclusive leadership, and public education.

The Hall also unveiled new exhibits and events honoring Inductees Dr. Temple Grandin, Lilly Ledbetter, Amelia Bloomer, Emily Howland, Dr. Antonia Novello, and more. It earned a spot in the Accessible NY Travel Guide for its inclusive museum experience and received a New York State Historic Preservation Award for revitalizing its historic home, the Seneca Knitting Mill.

Forward Global is a membership community of 400+ philanthropic funders. The organization’s 2025 Women’s Power & Influence initiative mobilizes over $50 million in donor and matched funds to support impactful organizations working to advance gender equity. The initiative aims to unlock critical support for organizations working at the intersection of gender equity and systems change. Its matching grant program brings together forward-thinking donors and nonprofits to accelerate progress for women and girls worldwide.
