The National Women’s Hall of Fame is honored to present Avenida Nosara, a compelling new solo exhibition by visual artist Pamela Araya, opening on June 28.

Through evocative color, symbolic storytelling, and figurative imagery, Avenida Nosara challenges viewers to consider colonization not as a distant historical event, but as an enduring mindset—one that continues to shape the experiences of Indigenous, immigrant, and marginalized communities today.

Araya’s work is both personal and political, honoring ancestral memory while confronting systems of erasure and displacement. The series offers a powerful meditation on land, identity, resilience, and the fight for cultural justice.

Join us for the opening reception on June 28 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with a special Artist Talk at 2:00 p.m. This event is free and open to the public.

We invite you to experience an exhibition that reclaims silenced histories and uplifts voices too often excluded from the cultural narrative.
