About the 1848 Society
The 1848 Society pays homage to the legacy of great 19th century Suffragists who propelled the American fight for gender equality.
In July 1848, hundreds of women and men congregated in Seneca Falls, NY for what is widely recognized to be the first women’s rights convention. Today, you’ll find the stories of many Suffragists among the 300+ stories who will forever have a home at the National Women’s Hall of Fame.
Like those who made the pilgrimage to the 1848 Seneca Falls Convention, your contribution stands to support a more inclusive, equitable future for all.
