Gloria spent her life asking us to imagine a more equal world, and then to do the work required to create it. Her lifelong activism inspired generations of women to fight for their rights, take risks, speak out, and defend the rights of others.
At the National Women’s Hall of Fame, we believe it is more important than ever to preserve and share the stories of women like Gloria Steinem. When we remember the women who challenged what was possible, we ensure their ideas, courage, and hard-won progress are not lost.
