Declaration of Sentiments


The Declaration of Sentiments was the document presented at the first American Women’s Rights Convention in Seneca Falls, New York in 1848.  The document, fashioned after the Declaration of Independence, demanded equal rights for women.  Printed on parchment; folded in an envelope.
