New York Senator Charles E. Schumer conducted a press conference at the Hall on Wednesday, July 1 urging the U.S. Treasury Department to choose Seneca Falls as a site for one of the Treasury Department’s upcoming public input town halls on the new $10 design.  On June 17, Secretary Jack Lew had announced the $10 bill would be redesigned to feature a woman in recognition of the 100th anniversary of women’s suffrage in 2020.
